Aguilera

from Taraba by Howard Haigh and Lava

/

about

Written in 1994 by Howard Haigh and David Trouton, who performed it as a duo on several tours of Eastern Scotland, including around a dozen shows in prisons.
The title is taken from Paco Aguilera, a musician from Seville who met Haigh and Trouton in Dundee!
The Lava arrangement evolved over a period of years and hundreds of performances and remains a high-point of many a gig to this day
at soundcloud.com/the-h-files you can hear a live version with me and guy, Jx Hynes, BenMcCabe, and a glovely piano solo from Steve Rose. And there's a goo live video of the 'Taraba'-era doing 'Aguilera' on YouTube (Lava at The Dukes 'Aguilera')
