Released at the end of 2007 'Taraba' is fair account of how the band sounded at that time - an exhilarating blend of Spanish/Moorish/and Blues elements. Although there is multi-tracking and overdubbing in places, some more than others, a reasonable amount of the album was played pretty much live. The music here was very much the staple of the LAVA live set in the latter part of their existence, and many of these tracks remain hugely popular with audiences.
Some of the tracks had been recorded (in different versions) previously. You can here the first version of 'Red Sands' on Haighs 'Work and Play' album.
